Frequently Asked Questions:
What is sketchycrew.com all about?
This site is a creative outlet for a bunch of sketchy writers, mostly from the Canberra region. I guess it is similar to any blogging site, however access is limited to extraordinary social commentators.
Who owns this site?
This site is coded, updated and funded entirely by sketchy bill.
Are we living in a Matrix?
I don't know. But for some food for thought, think about what seventeenth-century French philosopher Rene Descartes had to say about dreaming:
"How often, asleep at night, am I convinced of just such familiar events — that I am here in my dressing gown, sitting by the fire —when in fact I am lying undressed in bed! Yet at the moment my eyes are certainly wide awake when I look at this piece of paper; I shake my head and it is not asleep; as I stretch out and feel my hand I do so deliberately, and I know what I am doing. All this would not happen with such distinctness to someone asleep. Indeed! As if I did not remember other occasions when I have been tricked by exactly similar thoughts while asleep! As I think about this more carefully, I see plainly that there are never any sure signs by means of which being awake can be distinguished from being asleep. The result is that I begin to feel dazed, and this very feeling only reinforces the notion that I may be asleep." (Meditations, 13)
Will dinosaurs ever rule the world again?
Well, if the episode of Star Trek Voyager called Distant Origin is anything to go by, yes, probably. Obviously you don't become the most successful species on Earth ever without having some kind of intelligent thought. Am I right?
Did men really land on the moon?
Sure, why not? That's if the moon is really the moon. I mean, how do we know the moon is what we've been taught it is? Just because you're taught that we live on a planet that is orbited by a moon doesn't make it so. I was taught many things, and still are, that are pretty much as close to fiction as you get. Unless I actually go to the moon and find out more myself, how can I ever know?
Did Sketchy Bill write these FAQs?
What do you reckon?
Can I contribute to sketchycrew in some way?
Sure! We'd love to have you on board... just flick us an email and we'll see where we can fit you in (and feel free to suggest where you think you'd fit in).
Is it true that sketchy bill is now living in London?
Yes, for at least the time being. Luckily the wonders of the internet allow things to continue as if sketchy bill was still living in glorious Canberra.
