Love, love, love. It’s all you need, it’s all around you. What’s love got to do with it… got to do with it? Love is a stranger in an open car, to tempt you in and drive you far away. To quote the late Frank Zappa: “There are more love songs than anything else. If songs could make you do something we’d all love one another.” Elvis, Frank Sinatra and the Backstreet Boys all made a career of singing about it – and Morrissey made a career out of whining about it – that crazy little thing called love. Love is what saved Neo, and possibly humankind, as it did for Leeloo and Corbin Dallas. Love is the devil. This is not a love song! As Axl Rose says: “If you ain’t got no-one you better go back out and find ‘em”. And that’s as many love cliches I could think of in a very short amount of time… (well, maybe the Internet helped a little)…
